2008 Annual Oklahoma Fairs and Festivals Convention |
|
It’s
time to get ready to rumble at the Oklahoma Association of Fairs
& Festivals Convention February 7, 8 and 9, 2008. Inspired by our
Keynote Speaker, Coach Doug Sauter, OKC Blazers, this year’s theme
will be “Face Off For The Next 100 Years.”
In order to make power plays we will offer special
motivational seminars, roundtables and panel presentations designed to
give you the tools and information to stay in touch with what your
people and organization need to succeed.
A convention
schedule is included with this mailing. We
are now being hosted by the Clarion Meridian Hotel & Convention
Center, located at 737 S. Meridian in Oklahoma City. Room
rates for 1-4 people king/doubles are $64.00 + tax per night.
Reservations can be made, by calling the Clarion at (405)
942-8511 or (800) 784-7830.
Be sure to mention you are attending the OAFF Convention to
receive this special rate.
Mailed
under separate cover is your annual membership renewal.
Please make sure to return all information with a check by
January 10th, to be included in this year’s membership
directory/convention program.
Remember, you must be a member in good standing of the OAFF in
order to register for the convention. If you are interested in a booth
at the convention, you also are required to be current with your
membership and must return the enclosed form with payment.
If you are not interested in a booth, use this opportunity to
sign up an associate and get him or her involved! Don’t
forget the awards luncheon on Friday, will now not only honor our
volunteer and professional recipients, but it also will serve as the
official announcement event for the 2008 OAFF scholarship award
recipients.
We look forward to seeing all the great scholarship applications
and perhaps announcing a deserving senior from your area!
But we can’t do it without all the members encouraging students
in their areas to apply.
Applications are available online, through your county OSU
Extension office or Local Ag Educator, or by checking out the
scholarship application on the website www.oaff.com.
We
wish you a happy holiday season and look forward to seeing you in
February!
